Robert Egger has settled on a home for LA Kitchen, his non-profit first launched in D.C. which repurposes excess restaurant food for those in need. Egger lands LA Kitchen at 230 W Ave. 26, and this facility will serve as a hub to train kids coming out of foster care and adults from prison to cook with surplus fruits and veg from California farmers. Meals will then be distributed to social service institutions around the city. [EaterWire]
