After the rather abrupt and sudden closure of Storefront, a new restaurant by the name of HomeState is taking over the former deli. Touting food and "genuine hospitality" from Central Texas, the fast-casual eatery plans to serve breakfast and lunch, with staff training beginning December 2. It probably means that an opening some time later in December is likely. Not much else is known about who's behind the endeavor, but it sounds like a fine addition to the Eastside. [Eaterwire]
