Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Beau Laughlin and his group, Cardiff Giant, have been working through the summer and fall to build out Fifty Seven, a collaborate dining experience headed by chef David Nayfeld (Eleven Madison Park). Though they're tracking toward a January opening, Fifty Seven is already hiring front and back of house staff.

Located in the Arts District at the former Heinz loading dock adjacent to Bread Lounge, a rotating lineup of chefs from around the country will showcase their cuisine, sort of a Test Kitchen concept that should push the culinary envelope in L.A. Essentially, they'll bringing on fine dining chefs who will execute their respective menus. The space will have a full 47 liquor license.
