Much like its sister site next-door, interior dresser Matt Winter designed 41 Ocean Restaurant with a Spanish revival California feel, demonstrated via rewired chandeliers from the 1930s, barstools made from 1920s porch banisters topped with 100-year-old Persian rug remains, and wrought iron from a local home built in the 1920s. Winter himself sourced every piece pictured, and it's worthwhile to note that all tables and chairs were salvaged from an untouched furniture manufacturing company that shuttered in 1940. Remember what the space used to look like? Quite different now.
41 Ocean Restaurant, previously Bamboo Izakaya, kicked open doors November 12 as the dining extension to 41 Ocean, the members only club which opened almost a year ago. On offer here is a New American California-style lunch and dinner menu by Jimmy Martinez (BOA). Drinks here. Hours of operation to run Monday to Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for lunch, and nightly from 5 to 11 p.m. for dinner.
