Following a two month shutter, the previously unloved Ichiban Ramen recently reopened post facelift. Deviating from the current unctuous tonkotsu pork ramen trend in LA, Ichiban is serving "paitin" (milky) ramen made with chicken. Also of note, the restaurant is additionally serving mazemen, the Japanese take on lo-mein, a tossed noodle dish with little broth. The Gardena ramen house is operating with limited dinner hours until December. [EaterWire]
