Jimmy Shaw of Loteria Grill acclaim will join the cheffed up clan within Figat7th on December 13 when he unveils yet another branch of his popular Mexican eatery, along with a new quick-serve Mexican sandwich space called Torta Co.
Andrew Shaw, brother to Jimmy, is a partner in the place, and together their menu focuses on tortas or Mexican sandwiches stuffed with chorizo and Oaxaca cheese, pulled pork, and turkey in mole. There's also a Veracruz-style snapper, a version filled with poblano pepper and cheese, and a bunch of breakfast tortas plus molletes, which are like open-faced sandwiches topped with chorizo, bacon or ham, or beans/cheese.
Loteria Grill and Torta Co. will join pre-existing vendors like Paul Shoemaker's Juicy Lucy and Oleego by Park's Barbecue within The Taste dining headquarters in Figat7th.
