Studio City has been a hotbed for new food businesses, with a plethora of fresh operators moving in launching eating and drinking places like Black Market, Girasol, and Stout. Joan's on Third and La Ventura are in the works, but newly minted is Spitz, the fourth location of partners Robert Wicklund and Bryce Rademan's Mediterranean street food and craft beer place conceived in Eagle Rock. Spitz Studio City is presently soft open, and Wicklund notes that all pieces quickly fell into place once the restaurant passed final inspections. He's planning an official launch early next week.
In addition to the restaurant's signature doner kebab sandwich served Spicy, Lite, and even in salad form, one will also find fried olives and garbanzo beans, a myriad of French fry preps, and cinnamon-sugar pita strips for dessert. On tap, 12 SoCal beers, sangria, and an exclusively Central Coast wine list.
