Good luck Googling this one. Q is a new omakase experience from lawyers John Quinn, Shon Morgan and Ryan Goldstein of firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan. Sushi chef Hiroyuki Naruke (Nogizaka Sushi Yuki, Tokyo) is presenting Edo-style sushi (which is also the form of sushi served at Nozawa Bar) via a series of daily changing courses that begin with small composed dishes followed by sashimi and sushi such as bonito flown in from Tokyo's Tsukiji fish market topped with green onions, Santa Barbara abalone cooked in sake for eight hours, and miso-marinated Santa Barbara sea urchin.
On the subject of aesthetics, Q was crafted with a modern rustic East meets West aesthetic by interior designer Ryan Brown of Brown Design Group. Hours of operation run Monday to Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Friday/Saturday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
