Sam Fox (Fox Restaurants), creator of True Food Kitchen, will open a healthy fast casual spinoff called Flower Child: A Food Revolution in Phoenix during the first quarter of 2014. Fox describes the upscale fast-casual eatery as "a second cousin" to True Food Kitchen, with a counter-order service setup. The average lunch check will run around $13 and $17 for dinner, with alcohol on offer as well. If successful, it seems likely that Flower Child will expand, and Los Angeles would make for a perfect home. [EaterWire]
