Trying to find Night + Market Song's location in Silver Lake has been anything but easy, but finally, here now, the official release of Kris Yenbamroong's upcoming sequel. Located on a block with a smattering of retail shops, and adjacent to the new Muddy Paw Coffee, Yenbamroong has been overhauling the space for months, with an opening projected some time around Christmas. Inside is an area even smaller than the West Hollywood locale, with room for about fifty seats.

Near the entrance is a bench for night market-style eating. In the corner, a round table that can accommodate a large party, and then a group of two and four-tops. Finally, a bar area that may or may not have stools for seating, depending on the number of people waiting to nab a table.

As for the decor, don't expect something grander than what's going on, and Yenbamroong says that's all intentional. Some people have been critical of the inside look, but Yenbamroong says everything is reflective of what he wants to present, hand-selected and done for effect. The tables at Night + Market Song will be custom-made and the seating will be typical restaurant stock. The embellishments will be light, in an effort to make the place feel like nothing more than a neighborhood diner, but only with Thai street food instead of pancakes.

At the moment, construction is still on the heavy side, though things will start taking shape once equipment and furniture go into place next week. Rough electrical and plumbing are done for now, so it's only a matter of putting in the finishes. Beer & wine will be served, though the license likely won't be ready until a month or so after opening.
