File this one under unconfirmed rumormongering, but word on the street is that an organic ice cream parlor is set to open within the defunct indoor newsstand next-door to Sunny Blue on Main Street in Santa Monica. Here's a LoopNet listing for the 586 square foot shop. The adjacent Sunny Blue does sell froyo, but is more focused on onigiri, those nori-wrapped stuffed rice bundles. Further down on Main Street there's the newish Rita's, though not much by way of artisan ice cream. Additional intel welcome in the comments, but the small expanse could certainly be conducive to an ice cream place. [EaterWire]
