The mad rush to get a prime spot for Keizo Shimamoto's Ramen Burger starts again November 10 at the Mitsuwa Torrance, though organizers promise a more organized operation this time around. While more than 1,000 people waited upwards of four hours in September for a coveted Ramen Burger, this weekend fanatics should arrive at 9 a.m. to receive a wristband designating a return time to avoid massive lines. Ramen Burger service starts at 11 a.m., with an additional cheese Ramen Burger on offer for $9. Since Shimamoto's creation took over this past summer, knockoffs have started to appear around town, a sure sign of a culinary fad.
