Chef Andy Lee joined two-year-old Rascal on La Brea about one month ago after kitchen stints at places like Wilshire, Rustic Canyon, and Lazy Ox Canteen. And although Rascal began as a wine/craft beer bar that served sandwiches, the small abode now offers a full spectrum of composed plates from fried chicken and gravy to pan-seared Atlantic salmon. Lee also brought in Top Chef Just Desserts alum Danielle Keene of Bittersweet Treats in Pasadena who added a chocolate crunch cake and apple/raspberry pie. [EaterWire]
