Welcome to Spin The Bottle, no kissing involved. This is Doug LaGambina and Scott Kay's (Wood & Vine) soon-to-launch wine studio, tastefully designed as both a shop and tasting bar for boutique wines from around the world. The spic and span store centers around a tasting bar made with wood reclaimed from old wine barrels, and patrons can sidle up to try bottles but also sample six wines on draft. As is the case with wine tasting rooms, the idea here is to come hang at the bar and try before you buy.
Or, lounge up front in some Danish mid-century modern seats and snack on cheese, charcuterie, truffle potato chips and other smaller bites, some of which are prepped in the Wood & Vine kitchen. Behind the bar, wooden shelving for wine bottles which still need to be stocked. Tentative hours of operation to run Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
