Patricia Tsai's Chocovivo bean to bar chocolate factory has been up and running since the summer on Washington in Culver City, but she's recently launched a new Kickstarter campaign asking for help to raise $30k to buy a fancy cacao bean de-sheller. It's called a Vortex Winnower and is made by a guy in Brooklyn. Right now Tsai is de-shelling by hand, a process which she describes as "slow and tedious." Donate here. [EaterWire]
