Plan Check opens today on Fairfax, but that's already old news. Up next, launching in spring 2014, the pubby American comfort food restaurant from Terry Heller and chef Ernesto Uchimura, praised for its smokey fried chicken and cruller donuts, hits Downtown LA on Wilshire at S. Bixel Street.
Clean, modern, but sporting an approachable neighborhood feel, Plan Check Downtown appears rather similar to Plan Check on Sawtelle, with perhaps a slightly more sophisticated look thanks to San Diego-based design firm Basile Studio. Note large windows that open out to the street, great for both warm and cold weather.
