Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Chris Owens, co-founder of Handsome Coffee, recently decamped from the Downtown roastery to roast beans for Lightning Records, a Kickstarter-funded record label that encapsulates a culture journal, quarterly mp3 or cassette deliveries, and fresh-roasted coffee. The coffees will be roasted at various destinations like the "great American Southwest desert." Those interested can contribute to the fund here. [Sprudge]
