Sonia Hong, current owner of West Hollywood's beloved Irv's Burgers, was sadly forced to cease operations at the 63-year-old burger shack back in late October so that interior designer Thomas Schoos could open a new cafe and store onsite called Beach Nation. The Hong family launched an IndieGoGo campaign asking for money to help relocate the historic stand, though only $7k of the total $55k came in. But finally, potentially good news. Through the grapevine comes word that the Hong family will move Irv's less than half a mile down the block into the shuttered Biscuit Cafe plot on Santa Monica Boulevard near Laurel Hardware. Right now the space is definitely in revamp mode, with furniture stacked and walls freshly painted. Developing...
