Sister site Curbed has the lowdown on The Church on York, a small former church that's seeing new life as a hipster music venue in Highland Park. Founded by Graeme Flegenheimer and reopened last month after a long renovation, the venue's investors include James Valentine of Maroon 5. They're aiming to make The Church a "place to come and see movies, music, stand-up, readings, art shows, have a glass of wine, a beer, and food." At the moment the food and drink license is pending.
