Govind Armstrong's 8 oz. Burger Bar has been in development for quite some time in Terminal 4 at LAX, but today comes news of Kogi BBQ's impending debut at American Airlines' food court. The Korean-Mexican fusion taco shop's launch inside the domestic terminal has been flying low for some time, but this photo clearly shows the plywood up adjacent to 8 oz., which was supposed to debut this past summer.

The burger bar looks like it might be ready to serve imminently while Kogi could still be months out. This would be the first airport ventures for both Roy Choi and Govind Armstrong. It would also mark the return of 8 oz. to L.A. after various expansions around the country.

UPDATE: An airport employee reports at 8 oz. is already open, just in time for the thick of holiday travel.
