BLD to Host Super-Spicy Sriracha Dinner on January 9

Fans of locally produced cult sauce Sriracha will have a chance to get a fancy take on the spicy red bottle at BLD for a special five-course dinner on January 9 hosted by Neal Fraser and chef de cuisine Lewis Chan. Apparently Chan goes through a bottle of the sauce a week, though the restaurant has been hoarding supplies. Earlier this month the Health Department demanded a 30-day hold in production due to amended rules regarding the famous rooster sauce's lack of cooked ingredients.

On the menu, a lobster roll with sriracha aioli and a ribeye poutine with fiery-hot sriracha gravy. There's even dessert, in the form of s'mores with a sriracha marshmallow. And for the super curious, there's even a sriracha cocktail in the works. Beware. Reservations can be made by calling the BLD at 323-930-9744. [EaterWire]
