Prior to its January debut in Culver City, East Borough, the OC-based French-Vietnamese restaurant by John Cao and Chloe Tran plus new partners Paul Hibler and Jason Neroni, has established two preview dining events. Stop by Bar & Garden on December 8 from 2-6 p.m. to try lunch dishes (grilled pork bahn mi, grapefruit lemongrass salad, $5 each). Then on December 11, Superba Snack Bar is holding a Neroni/Tran collab a la carte or five-course dinner ($65), serving items off East Borough's new bill of fare: Fried Cauliflower and Long Beans, Head On Blue Shrimp with pomelo and crab paste butter, and Phocatini with oxtail. Wine pairing is $28 extra. [EaterWire]
