Hinoki & the Bird's Noodle Menu; Fig & Olive in OC

CENTURY CITY— Chefs David Myers and Kuniko Yagi have rolled out a new noodle menu at Hinoki & the Bird, available Tuesday to Friday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. To start, the three dish list has a veal short rib ramen, a jackfruit and shrimp curry, and a duck and soba noodle bowl, but the offerings will change at the chefs' whim. NEWPORT BEACH— Reps for Fig & Olive announce that the Mediterranean olive oil-happy eatery will open a 12,000 square foot Orange County flagship on December 20 at Fashion Island shopping mall.
