This is going to sound like a joke, but it's not. TiGeorges Laguerre, chicken chief of Echo Park Haitian restaurant TiGeorges' Chicken, will no longer shutter, as previously reported. Laguerre says he's working with City officials to keep his restaurant afloat and 1) he has filed for a beer/wine license and 2) he hopes to "relocate or upscale my present location." This is an eatery that also prevailed after a 2010 conflagration. [KCET]
