Paul Yoo helped Mexicali Taco & Co. go from cart to cafe last year, and now he is part of a new dessert only place in Los Feliz called Ramekin. The concept itself is simple enough. Hot and cold desserts, all made from scratch, and all served in — you guessed it — ramekins. So, 10 plus artisan ice creams and sorbets in flavors like chai, jasmine tea, banana chocolate chip, guava, and mango; and also warm, made-to-order desserts like chocolate bread pudding and berry cobbler. Chef/partner Jason Park of Maru in Valencia executes the menu.
While Ramekin should grand debut within the next two weeks, a few soft opening nights will take place in advance, starting tonight from 7 to 10 p.m. [EaterWire]
