Right off the bat, from the looks of it, L&E Oyster Bar's annexed second floor bar/lounge plus patio is going to be a hit with Silver Lake locals. Ascend a set of red steps alongside the building for an expanded seafood-centric experience which could include beet-cured King Salmon with Meyer lemon creme fraiche; house-cured mojama, olive oil and smoked paprika; and John Dory and diver scallop terrine with Steelhead Salmon roe. Mates Dustin Lancaster and Tyler Bell are describing such options as "seafood charcuterie," but like downstairs there's also a selection of oysters as well.
Those are just a few of the offerings officially served tonight following yesterday's soft launch. And a little bit more good news. Hours of operation upstairs have expanded by an hour and run Monday to Thursday from 5 to 11 p.m. and Friday/Saturday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
