WEST LA— Chef Roy Choi's Chego! shut down brick and mortar operations last December for alleged renovations, at which point there came to be a Chego! truck. Interestingly enough, LADTN hears that Chego! is relocating to Chinatown's Far East Plaza (727 N. Broadway). After checking in with Choi's camp, Grub Street says that there's no official deal just yet. [LADTN via Grub Street]
SILVER LAKE— Mike McConnell, owner of Silver Lake's new Caffe Vita, tells Food GPS that he would consider bringing a branch of his Neapolitan pizzeria Via Tribunali to LA. McConnell also reveals that Caffe Vita SiLa will eventually add a roastery and he's open to expanding his coffee brand elsewhere around the city. [Food GPS]
ATWATER VILLAGE— On February 19, Amy Seidenwurm, the local urban beekeeper behind Feral Honey (along with her husband Russell Bates), is cooking dinner at Canele. All three courses (Brussels sprout salad, honey-cured salmon, spicy ginger honey cake), priced at $36, will utilize her Silver Lake-grown honey. [EaterWire]
