Even for Venice residents, it's easy to have overlooked three-month-old Farmhouse Kitchen, the eatery which replaced Chicago Nick's on Ocean Front Walk. It's a takeaway window serving up an entirely organic and seasonal, soup-centric menu, which today consisted of chunky tomato soup and a blood orange salad, among others. Anyway, owners Jacob Vaynshtok and Charles Turcich are planning an evening pop-up in April at Earl's Gourmet Grub with chef Trevor Ball of The Curious Palate. Details are still being finalized. [ELA]
