For those that do NOT want another California-style farm-to-table joint on Rose, good news. The restaurant that's moving into part of the ACE Trophy Corporation building is called Wallflower and it's actually a Southeast Asian concept from partners Wayne Rambharose (opened the now shuttered Lucian Blue in Brooklyn years back) and Dustin Miles (architect/designer behind nearby Venice Beach Wines). They will indeed be using locally sourced meats and farmers market produce, so that's where the farm-to-table comes in. Since Venice isn't exactly rife with hip Asian eateries, this could be a great addition to the nabe, bringing in at least a little bit of culinary diversity.
