K-TOWN—With Stall 239 up and running, it was only a matter of time before Lock & Key opened its shiny new set of doors. Though it was to open tomorrow night, UrbanDaddy confirms that the speakeasy-styled bar and lounge actually serves tonight. Between the locks, keys, multiple doors and line outside, good luck getting in. [EaterWire]

TARZANA— Greg Woodbury and Marcel Vinson, formerly GM and chef, respectively, of Bleecker Street Restaurant, have opened Peasant Wine Bistro in the Valley at 19100 Ventura Blvd. A tipster writes in to say that the menu is a mix of comfort food and modern, more substantial takes on gastropub offerings. NORTH HOLLYWOOD— It's not that strange, in this Hollywoodland, for actors to become restauranteurs. (See also Eva Longoria and Robert DeNiro.) Last month, another famous face joined the hospitality industry, reports GrubStreet. In January, actor Robert Romanus, who played Mike Damone in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, opened Bob's Espresso Bar in the Valley. The shop sells a basic selection of lattes, muffins, and croissants. There is also live music. [GS]

HOLLYWOOD— A diner at littlefork last night wrote in to say that she spotted Los Angeles Times restaurant critic Jonathan Gold at chef Jason Travi's new digs. Smells like a review of the promising restaurant is coming soon. [EaterWire]
