Culver City's Bistro Laurent Rents Space to Mama's Indian

Bistro Laurent in Culver City holds some odd operating hours; the restaurant is only open Thursday through Sunday for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Recently, Midtown Lunch noticed that the Bistro is now sharing space with a new restaurant, Mama's Indian Buffet.

Chef/Owner Laurent Triqueneaux says it's a simple business decision and that Bistro Laurent plans to continue operating as usual, "We're not going away, we're just renting out our space on the days when we're not open."

Mama's Indian Buffet, a family-run operation, offers an all-you-can-eat feast of curries, meats and rice for $9.95 Monday through Wednesday for lunch and dinner. Midtown Lunch says its "not nearly as flavorful as Zam Zam Market ... [b]ut it has a certain homey-ness to it that makes it enjoyable."
