In addition to searching for sites in Santa Monica and Orange Country, the next order of business for local sandwich chainlet Mendocino Farms is a 3,000 square foot home in Sherman Oaks. Mendo is headed to the intersection of Ventura Boulevard and Hazeltine Ave, the demolished space reborn as a new mixed use complex next to Taco Bell. Mendo founder Mario Del Pero describes the eatery as a family-friendly facility with room for kids to play and a large tree in the middle of the restaurant similar to the one found in Mendo West Hollywood.
