Mad Men Dinners at Chaya, Vendy Awards, More!

VENICE— Chaya is launching a series of Mad Men-inspired dinners starting March 5, to take place on the first Tuesday of each month until the show premiers its new season. Basically one gets a three-course dinner and two cigars from Hollywood Smokes for $100 total (tax/tip included). [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN— The new jazz bar and restaurant coming to 712 Santa Fe is expected to commence construction on Monday. The build out will take about four to five months. [EaterWire]

The source, who attended a filming for the show at Downtown nightclub The Mayan, says the episode he witnessed was likely towards the end of the season and only five chefs were left.
