Good-Bye Gospel House Cafe, Hello Danji Food+Coffee

4251 Beverly Boulevard in Hollywood was a Pizza Hut for many years. About two years ago, the struggling pizza chain shuttered, leaving a vacant stand-alone building with a parking lot. Late last year, Grub Street noticed that Seoul-based Gospel House Cafe took over. The odd combination of Gospel music and global cuisine (tortilla pizza, fried chicken, Vietnamese spring rolls, shaved ice) did not last, however. As of this month, Gospel House has permanently shuttered.

Owners have sold the space to Danji, a new 24/7 Korean restaurant, sports bar and cafe. [EaterWire]
