VENICE— Longtime Abbot Kinney tea house and Japanese bakery Jin Patisserie has closed up shop as of yesterday (Kreation Kafe is moving in). A sign outside states that customers can still pick up confections from 5741 Buckingham Parkway, Suite D in Culver City. Reps for Jin confirm that owner Kristy Choo does not YET have a new retail space but will definitely relocate elsewhere in Los Angeles. This Culver City production/kitchen space is for pre-ordered goods only. [EaterWire]
HOLLYWOOD— Chef Jason Travi over at littlefork introduces brunch on March 30. There are some fun additions to the menu like Nutella-stuffed French toast, maple eggs, and a lobster frittata. Also, $1 oysters and $5 Applewood Smoked Bloody Larrys for those looking to booze. Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. [EaterWire]
WEST HOLLYWOOD— Remember last year when The Abbey experimented with a limited time Chick-for-Gay sandwich? Well, the dish is going back on the menu this week as a special (chicken breast with pickle on a toasted bun) and 100% of proceeds go to the American Foundation For Equal Rights. [EaterWire]
