Grub Street claims to have contacted one of the diners who was tweet-shamed for no-showing at Red Medicine. The diner writes, "Unfortunately, about 20 minutes after making the reservation, I got a call from my mom saying my uncle had passed away and it was the last thing on my mind to call and cancel our reservation." Whether or not this is true is up for debate... but the no-shower did, however, think to tell their friends who were also on the reservation that dinner was canceled. But not the restaurant.
