By the way, this is the rumored future home of MILK in Silver Lake, a second outpost of the six-year-old bakery, ice creamery, and savory foods cafe on Beverly Boulevard. Known for desserty items like its macaron ice cream sandwiches, tres leches cake, and blue velvet cake, MILK is likely to be a hit with the Silver Lake crowd, appearing just next door to L&E Oyster Bar and across the street from LAMILL. Right now the space is totally empty, but supposedly owner Nayla Audi (original co-owner Bret Thompson is now a silent partner in the biz) is working on permitting and such.
