Welcome to The Larchmont, Robert Kass (The Kass Bah), Spoon Singh (Venice Ale House) and Mathew Cape's (Vinolio) new Cali farm-to-table haunt nearly complete in the former home to Larchmont Grill. Slated to begin dinner service on March 11, the two-story craftsmen-style building has been overhauled to display a clean new beach bungalow aesthetic.

Is there a kale salad on executive chef Cody Diegel (Magnolia, Caulfield's) and consulting chef Don Gragg's (Chez Panisse, Gramercy Tavern - NY) menu? You better believe it. Kale with pine nuts, beets, farro, blood orange, and ricotta salata for $14 a plate. Likewise one will find varied constructions of butternut squash, pork belly, and duck confit, priced from $9 to $29. Sides like fries and caramelized sunchokes run $5 to $8.

Steve Livigni (Black Market, Harvard & Stone, La Descarga) is consulting on The Larchmont's cocktail menu and bar. Hours of operation to run Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday from 6 to 11 p.m. Lunch, weekend brunch and Sunday dinner service to follow. [EaterWire]
