The Know Where Bar Seeks Help to Open in Hollywood

Ben Adams currently works in the design department at Chateau Marmont, but for the last nine months he has been building his own intimate craft wine and beer bar in the short lived Grindhaus space between Western and Wilton in Hollywood. The Know Where, named after a bar his grandfather owned in the suburbs of Chicago back in the '60s, will be designed based on the Streamline Moderne movement of the 1920's and 1930's (think Art Deco) — but only if Adams can rally enough support from locals. He drops Eater a note as such:

I wanted to reach out to your outlet to see if you might help spread the word of The Know Where and ask for any support from people who live in the area. I have won the change of use from the city, but my neighbor has decided to appeal the city's decision, forcing a new hearing that will take place march 12th at 4:30 PM. He believes my bar will bring drunks and violence to the block, while I believe it will help reinvent this somewhat desolate strip of Hollywood. I have support from the City Council, Neighbor Council and LAPD ... I am looking forward to giving my neighborhood of Hollywood a new place to call home.
Those in support of Know Where can send letters of approval to 5634@theknowwherebar.com. [EaterWire]
