Unfortunately, lauded Austin-based Mexican restaurant La Condesa isn't following up with plans to open at 127 S. La Brea Ave, at least for now. Partner Jesse Herman says that he pulled the plug on La Condesa in LA to focus on an 85-room hotel is Austin. "At some point in the near future" he would like to bring the concept to LA but likely in a new location. With it he would also consider a branch of his modern Thai restaurant, Sway. [EaterWire]
