After Henry's Tacos' prolonged battle with the landlord of the former shack in Studio City, popular Hollywood outlet Cactus Taqueria is taking over to open a third location. Henry's moved just down the block on Tujunga, allowing room for Cactus, a purveyor of tacos, burritos, and tortas. The Vine Street fixture has a hefty Yelp following and a slew of slightly more 'authentic' offerings compared to the gringo-fied crunchy tacos at Henry's.

The construction crew on site looked to be cleaning out the decades-old stand, adding a fresh coat of paint all around. It'll likely be a quick turnaround before this intersection becomes a popular spot for late-night tacos, though neighborhood support might be thin initially after the ousting of Henry's. In the meantime, it looks like Henry's classic Googie marquee is getting a permanent home at the Valley Relics Museum in early May. [Eaterwire]
