The first Los Angeles dinner prepared by Timothy Hollingsworth — the chef who just recently decamped to LA from Sir Thomas Keller's culinary temple, The French Laundry, after serving as chef de cuisine for three years — lands on May 20 at The Strand House. Although his menu is still tbd, Hollingsworth will serve five seasonal-French courses at $200 a head, which includes a wine pairing by owner Brion Wise and head winemaker Massimo Monticelli of B Wise Vineyards. It's certainly a pricey affair, but much more affordable than a trip to Napa/The French Laundry. Call 310-545-7470 for a resy.
