This here is Sin City Wrap, a weekly recap of notable Las Vegas goings on.
TROPICANA—Bagatelle's Beach Club makes its debut this weekend at the Tropicana. Two pools, daybeds and lily pads, a beach soccer field, two sand volleyball courts, 18 private cabanas and a dedicated valet entrance await. Executive chef John Zamarchi is offering a menu of beach-y eats as well.
MGM GRAND — Generally, seasonal menu changes aren't really worth noting; everyone does it, and, well, we get it: asparagus in the spring, root vegetables in winter. Still, L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon this week released a spring menu that may be reason enough to fly to Vegas this weekend (assuming you're not already at Coachella). Dishes include Le Foie Gras with veal-filled ravioli served with baby root vegetables; and Le Bar, which features sea bass and clams in a sweet and spicy zest of ginger-pepper coulis.
DOWNTOWN— The newest addition to downtown is Park on Fremont, a 5,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor dining room, lounge and bar. The bar offers 100 different beers, in addition to a full cocktail list. Quirky touches to the interior include over-sized board games, textured leather and mismatched glassware. Now open nightly.
