Check Out Gino Angelini's Hamburger at RivaBella

New, 3 comments

And now it's time to take a close look at one of the five Eater Burger week specials:

Elizabeth Daniels 4/13

Chef Gino Angelini, with his red cap, chef whites, and infectious grin, just might be the cutest Italian man in all of Los Angeles. And one that can cook. At buzzy West Hollywood newcomer RivaBella, Angelini collaborated with his kitchen staff to construct Hamburger Maletesta, a dish named after the emperor of Rimini, Italy dating back to the Middle Ages. The regal burger is a 25% pancetta and 75% Piedmont beef mix, seared (don't forget the pan juice) and then topped with a soft fried egg, crunchy guanciale and arugula sprouts. Skinny fried onion strings and pickles are served alongside. RivaBella serves Hamburger Maletesta for lunch and dinner, now through April 29, for $18.
