News to share from Gram and Papas. Owner Mike Ilic has hired a Ludo Lefebre protégé from LudoBites days to run the sandwich shop's kitchen and launch a new evening pop-up called TriptikLA. Cyril Kabaoglu has revamped the cafe's lunch and catering menus. All bread (ciabatta, focaccia, pullman, brioche and pita) is now baked in-house and Gram and Papas' salad menu is presently undergoing an edit as well. There's a new shrimp burger and Kabaoglu added house-made dumplings to the Far East Kitchen Salad. Among other changes.
Meanwhile, during the evening, Kabaoglu is running TriptikLA, a seven to 10 course pop-up which soft launched on April 11. The next dinner takes place April 19 and this right here is the $60 seasonal, New American menu. Alcohol is BYO. E-mail Cyril for a resy. [EaterWire]
