New Yorkers Rejoice, Shake Shack is Coming to Vegas

New, 3 comments

Over dinner at Pebble Beach Food & Wine, esteemed Manhattan restaurateur Danny Meyer said Shake Shack — his haute fast food joint that, over the years, has garnered a cult-like following for its burgers and frozen custard — would likely "eventually" make its way to Los Angeles. No immediate plans. In the meantime, Las Vegas is getting a Shake Shack! Eater National says that MGM Resorts is building a new outdoor park between New York-New York and Monte Carlo resorts, and this is where Shake Shack will plant its flag. A very appropriate locale considering the first ever Shake Shack is located within Madison Square Park in New York City.

Also headed to MGM's new park complex is "a casual roadhouse restaurant and bar" called Double Barrel from SBE (which is also building an SLS hotel in Vegas), a coffeeshop called Sambalatte, an 800 Degrees pizzeria, and more. The development should be done in early 2014.
