For the past couple nights sugarFISH has opened its Beverly Hills doors for friends, family and a few lucky fans in off the street. Before even debuting to the public, which happens tonight, the small sushi joint is already slammed, with its proprietor, the infamous Kazunori Nozawa, smiling and greeting patrons.
Sporting a DEX Studio design like its many prior outposts, this sleek-wooded sushi hub is poised to be a smashing success on N. Canon Drive, offering a lighter dining option to nearby Scarpetta and Mastro's. Of course here one will find the standard omakase and a la carte menu as offered at all other locations, though this eatery sports a smart new addition. A small outdoor bar for those looking to bide time before a table opens. And anyone that has frequented sugarFISH in the past knows that the wait can be a while. Hours of operation run Monday to Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.
