Chi-Lin Five Weeks Out, Evan Kleiman Cooks, More!

WEST HOLLYWOOD—Chi-Lin, the yin to RivaBella's yang, is set to open next door in about five weeks. Remember, this is the new IDG fine dining Chinese concept with Cecile Tang of JOSS. [EaterWire]

HOLLYWOOD—Oh gosh. Via The Facebook, LAmag hears that a well-dressed human being offered big bucks to buy out Los Angeles tiki institution Tiki Ti. Do keep in mind that the update was posted yesterday, April Fool's Day: "This well-dressed person simply explained their desire to purchase the real estate for shall we say 'Publisher's Clearing House ' money. They are coming back tomorrow, with an attorney and other representation, to make a formal offer. Hmmmm. We're not doing a Bahooka, but there seems to be a reason to listen. Stay tuned for further details as they emerge." [Facebook via LAmag]

DOWNTOWN— This morning tickets for colorful new food festival Le Fooding went on sale to the general public, or those without a MasterCard. They sold like hotcakes and at this point the $50 Le Tasty Crush passes are all that's left. [EaterWire]

MID-CITY— Since La Condesa isn't happening right now on La Brea, the restaurant's original site, 127 S. La Brea Ave., is still up for grabs. Contact this one for more info. [EaterWire]

HOLLYWOOD—Still lamenting the loss of Angeli Caffe? Chef/ower Evan Kleiman has signed up to cook at 'this is not a pop-up' (right now at Tiago Espresso Bar + Kitchen) from April 18-21. Her menu is still tbd. [LAist]
