Smoke, Chocoholics, Sun's Restaurant All Donzo

1) West Hollywood: File this under non-shocker. After claiming to remain open for private events only, seven-month-old Smoke steakhouse on Melrose, is officially over and out. Operator BRG still maintains Brick + Mortar in Santa Monica and the newer Fatty's Public House on La Cienega. [WEHOville]

2) Larchmont: As reported in February, Chocoholics on Larchmont was up for grabs, and now Larchmont LA says that the shop will shutter May 1 after two decades of business. Why? Because of "a very, very substantial increase in rent," per owner Steven Johnson. [Larchmont LA]

3) Highland Park: A new restaurant is headed to 6441 N. Figueroa St., which means that Chinese eatery Sun's Restaurant, an ancient neighborhood fixture, will be forced to vacate once escrow closes. [Patch]
