EAGLE ROCK— Heirloom LA has finally secured its beer and wine license. Chef Matt Poley's first dinners completely open to the public at The Salon will take place on May 9 and 10. Four courses plus appetizers cost $75 and include glasses of Heirloom LA's Private Label wines, one red and one white. Dinner begins at 7 p.m. and seats must be pre-paid by emailing thesalon@heirloomla.com or calling 855-456-6652. [EaterWire]

WEST HOLLYWOOD— Word on the street is that Restaurant 8730, the one under construction for more than a minute on W. Sunset Boulevard, has run into some management issues. Original partners supposedly have dispersed. While a restaurant will still open here, the eatery will likely have a new name and new operators. Also, chef Jason Niederkorn is no longer attached. MALIBU— A tipster writes in to comment on the "Nikita Nikita" signage fronting that PCH restaurant property. Nikita is supposedly the name of building owner Larry Ellison's girlfriend. [EaterWire]

OC—Bootlegger's Brewery is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a soiree this coming Sunday at Muckenthaler Center in Fullerton. Tickets cost $30 for 10 tastes of 30+ beers on tap, some rare selections from Bootlegger's, in addition to brews from The Bruery, Noble Ale Works, and more. [OCW]
